This is an Illinois born business started in 1980 and solely owned by Pamella C. Horn. This daycare center will have its base of operation in Champaign Illinois . Discovery Kids Daycare intends to offer quality care to several different age groups; these will include children ages six weeks to five years old. Older groups will be offered during school holidays and summer break.
 The owner and principal employee, Pamella C. Horn has had extensive experience in the past 31 years at managing a business successfully. She has a great love and joy for children and the work she does.

I belong to "Nutrition For Children" food program. We offer a well balanced meal to all children. They are encouraged to eat it, but not forced. Here is a sample menu.
Breakfast
Waffles
Banana
Milk
Lunch
Chicken nuggets
half a slice of bread
french fries
pears
Milk
Snack time
crackers
milk or juice
The meal changes daily and are simple. You will find your child will eat things at my house that they don't normally eat at home. I fix only one item at each meal unless a child has an allergy. So, it is not a buffet of many choices. I try to figure out some of the favorites of each child and serve that item or meal weekly. Yes, they will on occasion get a Popsicle or a chip, but these items are a bonus after a healthy meal or snack has been eaten. I am a fitness nut, so I try to teach the children the good foods to eat. |
